Takin’ it to the X-TREME

Last week was a pretty exciting week for the Drak BMAH, as another X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME went up for sale.  This is the third time that I’ve seen it up there; the first one Sorak bought and the second I misjudged the time on, forgot to rebid and lost it last minute.  As the auction was nearing its close, the bids starting coming in quick, going from 60K to 90K in a matter of minutes.  I was determined not to lose for a third time and dropped 120K on it, the most I’ve ever spent on any item on the BMAH.  The bids pretty much stopped there, as people started to leave Madame Goya’s little hut.  I even stayed up late to see the auction to its end just to make sure it was mine, lol.

X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME Description

Rockets for Everyone

The X-51 Nether-Rocket is the first flying mount ever offered by the WoW TCG.  It comes from the rare loot card of the same name from the fifth set of the TCG, Servants of the Betrayer.  It is one of three loot cards from the set, with the cosmetic items Papa Hummel’s Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit (which is similar to the Pet Biscuits you can get from the various supply bags from winning pet trainer battles) and Goblin Weather Machine – Prototype 01-B being the other two.

Owning a rocket mount was something I’ve wanted to add to my collection for while now.  I was a little too late on creating a second account to get the X-53 Touring Rocket and the Big Love Rocket is a myth, with its crazy drop rate during the Love is in the Air event.  My Death Knight is still trying to farm motes of harmony to convert to spirits to create the Depleted-Kyparium Rocket and I might have to bribe Lyss to farm for mats on her Rogue so that she could make me the Geosynchronous World Spinner, lol.

I think I’ll stick with this for a while, my gold wallet needs a break. =)

I can fly too, I think....

    • Cool, thanks Lyss! I think I can supply almost all of the mats, it’s the Spirits of Harmony that you’ll have to farm for. Just send me a quote for the parts and labor, lol.

      • Is it something any engineer can make? I ask because Slice has his maxed out on his priest and my rogue isn’t maxed out yet.

Nothing that can’t be fixed, but just might take longer.

      • If I remember, the plans for the two rockets are split among the two specializations. Heavy is Goblin and I think Mel is Gnomish. I was going to make Dizzee a second Engineer to learn the plans Heavy didn’t know (lol, a Goblin with Gnomish plans), but I remembered what a pain it was to level.

  1. Definitely one of the mounts I’ve tried to get a few times from the BMAH. They always end so late, and I don’t have nearly as much gold as a lot of people do to be able to just push others out of the bidding early. I tried for Flametalon of Alysrazor the other day but got outbid long after I went to bed.

    • Ooooo, I haven’t seen Fire Anzu on our BMAH yet. Our fearless leader, Sorak, managed to win one in an Allience guild run he did. And we’ve never seen it drop in the millions of SR runs we’ve done in Firelands during Cataclysm.

    • No, all engineers can make the generators cause I know Heavy has it. I think its mainly the pets, the two rockets and some gadgets/fun stuff that are split between the two. Pretty much anything that doesn’t give you a competitive PvE/PvP advantage over the other specialization.

  2. Grats! I love those rockets. I was going to say maybe we could have come up with some sort of trade since I can make one of the rockets and I still need 4 of the cats. Haven’t run the numbers though to see how even the trade would be but looks like you have it worked out :)
